Advent and Day 2

One of my favorite traditions during Christmas is celebrating Advent every Sunday. Every week I can count on that focus as a family... this year - for the first time ever - Hudson even sang with us Joy to the World! We read Scripture together, light our candle, pray and sing. It's times like this that I really wish I knew how to play the guitar!!!

"This candle reminds us of the time for waiting for the Messiah to come.  It reminds us of the witness of prophets about the Savior.  It is a time for our waiting as we move toward the celebration of Christmas."

"For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And He will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:6

Linking up here at Ali Edward's blog with others who are participating in December Daily.

Another thing I plan to read with the kiddos every night is the "Knowing Him By Name" You Version Bible reading plan... it's a 25 day reading plan.

That's a beautiful Advent wreath! It looks like you can put living plants and water them... is that it? Wherever did you find this?
